Sounder, Shepherd Mix
"I was having trouble with my dog running off and not coming back, jumping on people, darting out the door every time I would open it and never minding me…until we met Katherine.
I gave him to her for 3 weeks and in week one saw a huge difference from the videos she would send me!
After the initial 3 weeks I decided that I wanted her to off leash train him because Katherine said he would do so well since he likes the freedom to run.
This has made such a difference in my dog and for me as well! He loves following the commands and is a completely different dog when we go places now!
I would recommend Katherine’s training program to any dog parent!!"

Waggs & Duster, Boxers
"We have two boxers, a male and a female. If you're familiar with boxers you will know that they are the class clown of the dog world. Loving and wanting nothing more than to be with those they love. However, they also have the attention span of a gnat after eating 10lbs of sugar. They like to jump on people, not sit still when told to and obey when they WANT to.
We were having some difficulties with them; specifically leash pulling by the female, hyperactivity by both, not coming when called and chasing cats amongst other things.
We decided to enroll them in the three week course with hopes they would be more obedient yet retain the boxer personality. Fast forward three weeks and they sit, stay, come, heel, and are generally well behaved now. We went from having a dog that we couldn't take on walks to two will behaved puppers. During the process we had great communicating and explanations of the training process as well as a clear plan of what to expect along with videos and pictures along the way.
One aspect of this type of training that was nice was the ability to schedule boarding and training together. If you plan on taking a trip this is a great opportunity for the dog to get training, care, exercise and attention."

Otis, Basset Hound
"Katherine is an amazing dog trainer!
Our 8-month-old basset hound, Otis, is a great dog but was displaying some food aggression toward our other dog and toward us.
After two training sessions with us Otis no longer displays food aggression and also learned how to sit, stay, lay down, leave it, and how to walk properly on a leash.
Katherine's approach to training worked very well, in that she actually showed us how to work with Otis, so we could continue to work with Otis after she left. We worked with him a couple of times per day on the strategies Katherine taught us.
Now we have this amazingly well-trained dog for our whole family to enjoy!
A bonus was that we were able to utilize the same training strategies with great success with our other dog. We HIGHLY recommend Katherine with Anchored Canine!"
